Tim Black
As a Managing Partner of Fort Accounting, Tim brings extensive experience in accounting, financial reporting, and project management to the team with an emphasis on the asset management industry.
Tim is a Certified Public Accounting (CPA) and began his career at KPMG where he focused on serving institutional alternative investment firms. After over a decade with KPMG, he co-founded Fort to provide specialized accounting solutions to the market.
Prior to joining the Fort team, Tim led audit teams for numerous clients ranging from day one start-up companies to multi-billion dollar asset managers.
Tim graduated from Texas A&M University with a BBA in Accountancy and a Masters degree in Finance. Tim is a member of the AICPA and has enjoyed his involvement in both the Big Brothers Big Sisters and Junior Achievement Fort Worth programs over the years. Tim and his wife, Emily, currently reside in Fort Worth, Texas with their two boys.
